Luego Velocity XT

The Velocity Xt is a full on racer for the road or track and is one of the best performing and handling sports cars on the market. The Velocity Xt is based on a Sierra donor, utilising the front uprights from the donor. This is achieved by removing the McPherson strut and replacing it with Luego's own Aluminium conversion boss. The Sierra is the donor for all of the major components allowing this car to be a very easy car to build. This car uses the IRS rear end from the Sierra.

The steering rack is supplied in the kit, from the donor the steering column is used with a modified down-link. We have also designed a relay pack that links into our wiring loom, this relay pack allows you to use the original steering column switches. The hand brake is from the donor as is the engine gear box. The Xt uses the full length drive shafts from the donor so you can have disc or drum braking system.

Luego pride's itself on quality so this is why we still use Aluminium or Stainless panels that clad the out side of the chassis and the internal transmission tunnel. We know from having our chassis stressed tested by Cranfield that by using folded sheet Aluminium or Stainless Steel improves the cars torsion stiffness and impact protection considerably. Allowing you to have a far safer and controllable sports car. The panels we provide are pre-cut and folded we even cut the holes out for the wishbones and steering rack to pass through. Our panels are the best and by far the easiest to fit available. Due to the quality of these panels and other major components fitting correctly, enables you to get the car on it's wheels within half a day!

The estimated build time for a Velocity Xt is 150 to 200 hours, depending on your experience. We are extremely proud of this car it is ideal for road, track day or a race car. As you will find out when you build this car, the Xt is a easy build, enjoyable and extreme fun to drive.

Still based on the Ford running gear the car has been fitted with a Vauxhall 20XE 'redtop' running aftermarket throttle bodies and ECU with closed loop Lambda control. This allowed the costs to be kept down while still conforming to the latest emissions tests.

The car is amazing to drive with lots of low down power, and will cruise down the high street without any problems.
